STEPFATHER

STEPFATHER is the story of Officer Donovan Weeks, who had the world on a string. A successful career, a long list of accomplishments, and the personality and looks to have whatever woman he wanted, married or not. And then his perfect world was obliterated by a drunk driver on his way home from work following an officer-involved shooting.

Donovan wakes from a coma as a disfigured amputee, his personal life and reputation destroyed, his career all but ended, with both the media and the courts working to destroy him. At his lowest he finds a strange artifact left in his empty home by an anonymous source, which downloads into his mind the first of a series of memories from the guardian angel for Joseph, husband of Mary, and stepfather to Jesus of Nazareth.

Surrounding himself with a ‘team’ of friends to help him understand from what Donovan learns is a “Diary”, he begins healing not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. And when a gang of armed gunmen show up at his home to collect a “dead-or-alive” cash bounty, both Donovan and his own angelic warrior fight to protect his team from a mortal and demonic siege where there can be only one survivor.
